Ronald G. Frederick was born July 30, 1944 in Dickinson, the son of Leo and Mary (Nadvornik) Frederick. After the death of his parents at an early age, he went to live with his aunt Olinda Elkin. He grew up south of Taylor and graduated from Taylor High School. He worked on the farm until his marriage.
Ron was united in marriage to Judy Boehm on April 29, 1972 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton. He went to work for Richardton Manufacturing and then began a career for Stark County as a heavy machine operator. In years to follow, he enjoyed helping area farmers with spring planting and fall harvest.
Ron’s Catholic Faith was an integral part of his life. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus, where he had served as financial secretary for 26 years and numerous terms as District Deputy. He was also a lifetime member of the Dickinson Eagles. He enjoyed farming, playing cards, visiting with his coffee group, helping out anyone who asked, but he greatest joy came from spending time with his children and especially his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his wife, Judy; four children, Crista Tanzer, Gold Bar, Wash., Rhonda (Jason) Helde, Hazen, Michael (Christine) Frederick, Austin, Minn., and Michelle (Josh) Tormaschy, Taylor; eight grandchildren, Michael Tanzer, Kadyn, Hannah, and Paige Helde, Andrew and Elizabeth Frederick, Isabella and Collin Tormaschy; and his extended Boehm family and his aunt Olinda’s family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Pete Frederick, Jack Frederick and David Christianson; his sister, Betty Jean Klebe, and his aunt Olinda Elkin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Richardton Knights of Columbus or St. Mary’s Religious Education program.
