Rose Hueske, 91, Richardton, died Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Sandford Health, Bismarck. Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton, with Fr. Thomas Wordekemper, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Mr. Robert Bohn presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Wednesday.

Rose A. Forster was born May 22, 1926 at Richardton, the daughter of Nicholas and Johanna (Schantz) Forster. She was raised and educated in Richardton, and had gone on to attend Dickinson State Teachers College where she earned a teaching certificate.

Rose was united in marriage to Arnold Hueske on June 1, 1948 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Together they continued to farm and ranch on the farm that Arnold was born on. She remained on the farm up to the time of her death.

She liked to sew and do crafts. She had a passion for quilting, having made hundreds of quilts with her quilting club to give to local charities. Her and Arnold were charter members of the Richardton Taylor Booster Club and supported the school activities. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary (held several positions and long time historian), original member of Peaceful Valley Homemakers, Chairwoman of American Heart Association for Western ND, member of the Richardton Centennial committee, and also belonged to the Christian Mothers.

Rose is survived by three children, Kenneth (Kathy) Hueske, Richardton, Sharon Reinmiller, Staplehurst, Neb., and Darla (David) Megalli, Richardton; 11 grandchildren, Jeff (Sandy) Hueske, Lisa Vannote, Donna (Mike) Van Keulen, Dustin (Coley) Hueske, Shaun Benedict, Jeremy (Becky) Benedict, Brenda (Perry) Rettinger, Connie (Grant) Buck, Dawn (Sam) Thompson, and Dominic and Daniel Megalli; 20 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and siblings, Rita Gress, Lucille (Al) Begger, Charles (Jeanette) Forster, Joan (Roger) Zimmerman, and Lillian Hunke.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold on October 31, 2007; her parents; son, Bruce; daughter, Jane (Ed) Thompson; great-granddaughter, Grace Benedict; and siblings, Anita, James, Glen, Germaine and Dennis.
