Rose Moldenhauer, 95, Dickinson, died on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Rose’s Mass of Christian Burial will at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 20, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Justin Waltz as celebrant. Entombment will take place at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. with Deacon Bob Zent presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.

Rose Grosser was born on September 2, 1926 in Dickinson, the daughter of Bernard and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Grosser. She lived most of her life southeast of Dickinson and was educated through the eighth grade at rural school, Newport School District #5.

Rose was united in marriage to Lloyd V. Moldenhauer on January 15, 1946 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson and to this union nine children were born. She worked on the farm and ranch operation with her husband until their retirement.

She belonged to the Farm Bureau and Rotary International. Rose enjoyed doing counted cross stitch, sewing and craft projects.

Rose is survived by her children, Virginia (Bob) Zent, David Moldenhauer, Kathleen (Dan) Klempel, Judy (Dave) Campbell, Nancy (Stan Schultz) Harris, Vernon (Laurie Lynn) Moldenhauer, Lee (Cynthia) Moldenhauer, Esther (Ron) Martin and Eric (Lori) Moldenhauer; 32 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Angie Grosser.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd, on January 18, 2010; her parents; siblings, Bernard (Anna Marie) Grosser, John (Katherine) Grosser, Frank Grosser, Betty (Frank) Lech and William Grosser; and one great-grandson, Ari Schultz.

The family would like to thank the staff and care givers at St. Benedict’s for their wonderful care.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, St. Benedict’s Health Center or the Dickinson Catholic Schools.
