Rosina Helena Keller was born May 10, 1928 on the family farm near Lefor, the daughter of Frank and Ann (Kraft) Keller. She was raised and educated in the Lefor area.
Rose was united in marriage to Ernest H. Hatzenbuehler on May 15, 1951 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, south of Richardton. She was a stay-at-home mom until the boys were older and went to school. She worked as a dishwasher at Western Livestock for numerous years.
They enjoyed camping and fishing when the boys were young. She participated in bowling league, coffee with friends, bingo, playing cards, sewing, and crocheting.
Rose fell at the trailer where she broke her femur which caused her to move to Miller Pointe in Mandan. While here she gained some very nice friends that looked after her. It was here that she also enjoyed several different activities, continued her crocheting, and loved to word seek books. She looked forward to the boys coming by to take her out for dinner or driving around.
Rose is survived by her sons, Ernest E. (special friend, Louanne Hartwig), Dickinson and Donald J. (special friend, Patricia Nelson), Mandan; siblings, Frank, Ron, Elona, and Donna; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, on November 19, 2002; son, Raymond; and five siblings.
