Roy M. Schneider, 80, Hebron, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 following a long illness at Sanford Health, Bismarck. Roy’s Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m., CT, Monday, January 31, 2022 at First Baptist Church, Hebron with Rev. David Ling officiating. Inurnment will take place at the First Baptist Cemetery, Hebron. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 p.m. MT to 2 p.m. MT at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a prayer service at 2 p.m. MT. and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
Roy was born on October 28, 1941 at Antelope, the youngest of 15 children of Gottlieb and Eva (Sayler) Schneider. He was raised and educated in the Hebron area, graduating from Hebron High School in 1959. He attended college where he was working towards his teaching degree, but the urge and love for farming full-time took over.
Roy was united in marriage to Harriet Nelson on March 26, 1965 at the First Baptist Church, Hebron. In 1967 they moved to the family farm where they raised their family and have resided since.
He had served on several community boards and held several church positions.
Roy is survived by and will be missed by his wife of 56 years, Harriet; their children, Vickie (Pete) Solemsaas, Taylor, Sue (Wes) Stengel, Dickinson, Doug (Tabi) Schneider, Glen Ullin, and Deb (David) Beck, Washburn; nine grandchildren, Rachel Entze, Josh Stengel, Tymber Schneider, Zane Entze, Dawson Beck, Kasey Stengel, Dylan Schneider, Dara Beck, and Dalton Schneider; siblings, Stanley (Lila) Schneider, Hebron, Elsie Schneider, Bismarck, and Rose Voegele, Bismarck; sisters-in-law, Kathleen Schneider and Diane Schneider; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and 11 siblings.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the First Baptist Cemetery Fund.
