Ryan Kitzan, 21, Hebron, ND, died Sunday, August 19, 2007 as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Ryan’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Thursday, August 23, 2007 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Richardton, ND, with Fr. Boniface Muggli, OSB as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, Richardton. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. There will be a vigil at 7 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Ryan was born September 29, 1985 in Dickinson, the son of Randy and Brenda (Messer) Kitzan. He was raised and educated in Richardton, graduating from Richardton High School in 2004. Since high school Ryan has worked construction for his uncle, Gary Messer at Antelope Homes, and for the past three years has been a welder for the Steffes Corporation in Dickinson.

Ryan enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending a lot of time at the Hebron Gun Club target practicing. Working on and fixing up his pick-ups was a nice past-time for him. Family and friends were a very important part of Ryan’s life, especially the time he spent playing with his nieces and nephews.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Randy and Brenda Kitzan, Richardton; his grandmother, Eugenia Messer, Richardton; two brothers, Eric Kitzan, and Travis (Brandy) Kitzan, Richardton; his sister, Roxane (Cordell) Walth, Hebron; nieces, Kaile and Keira Kitzan; nephews, Keaton and Kane Walth; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and a very special person that he loved dearly, Britni Chase, Hebron. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Rudy and Rose Kitzan, and Valentine Messer.
