Salmina Obrigewitsch was born January 4, 1927 near Schefield, the daughter of Xavier and Magdalena (Kuntz) Obrigewitsch. She was raised in the Schefield area where she attended country schools through the 8th grade.

Mae was united in marriage to Simon C. Greff on June 4, 1946 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, south of Richardton. Together they farmed and ranched northeast of Mott until 1983 when they retired and moved into Dickinson.

She was a hard working farm wife who was dedicated to caring for her family. She will be missed for her famous apple turnovers, Easter bread, creamed chicken, snails and canned pickles and peppers. She prayed the rosary daily and offered prayers for her family continuously, having taught us all the meaning of true faith.

Her hobbies were gardening and caring for a large beautiful flower garden. She spent hours tending to flowers and picking weeds most evenings in the summer. She belonged to card clubs and spent most Tuesday afternoons playing cards with her friends and was a frequent visitor at the Senior Center on Sunday afternoons, playing cards. She was a member of the St. Pius Verein, St. Ann’s Altar Society and St. Stephen’s Catholic Daughters.

Mae is survived by five children, Frank (Joyce), Dickinson, John (Donna), Garrison, Rosemary Rubbelke, Bismarck, AnnaMae (Lorin) Remmick, Underwood, Minn., and Raymond (Lynn), Mott; 16 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Tillie Jordan and Virginia Schmidt; brother-in-law, Nick Olheiser; sisters-in-law, Magdalena Kuntz and Paulette Obrigewitsch; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
