Seth R. Elkins, 37, Lincoln, formerly of Taylor, died Saturday, April 11, 2015 south of Medora as the result of injuries sustained in an ATV accident. Seth’s funeral service will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at the Taylor Lutheran Church, Taylor, with Rev. Earl Peace officiating. Interment will follow at the Pioneer Cemetery, south of Taylor. Visitation will on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, and will continue at the church from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Seth Russell Elkins was born February 3, 1978, in Dickinson, the son of Kenneth and Rebecca (Severson) Elkins. Seth graduated from Richardton-Taylor High School (1996) and went on to pursue a mechanical engineering degree at School of Mines, Rapid City, S.D. (2000). He was employed with Bobcat Company in Bismarck. While employed there, he had the opportunity to travel to the Czech Republic and Arizona numerous times.

Seth enjoyed playing cards, fishing, basketball, and was active in dart, archery, and trapshooting leagues. His true passion was hunting with his friends and family.

Seth had a very special bond with his niece, Danika and godchild, Charlie Schorsch. He has many lifelong friends that think of him as a brother. Seth was always willing to help when asked, whether to help with cattle, farming, or building a house.

Seth is survived by his parents; sister Stacy (Elkins) Braun, Dickinson; brothers Tyler (Kacy), Taylor, and Shane, Taylor; niece Danika Braun; grandmothers Vivian Elkins and Shirley Severson, both of Taylor; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Seth was preceded in death by grandfathers William Severson and Elmo Elkins, and aunt Naomi Elkins.
