Shad J. Wagner, 39, Dickinson, died unexpectedly on Saturday, November 23, 2013 at his home. Shad’s funeral service will be at 1 p.m., Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Deacon Walter Losinski presiding. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 8 a..m. to 1 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Shad Jeremy Wagner was born to David Wagner and Janette Ebel on October 10, 1974 at Phoenix, Ariz. Shad attended elementary and junior high school in Williston, and Dickinson High School in Dickinson. He then served in the North Dakota National Guard as a Military Police Officer.

Shad moved to Minot where he began a career with CP Rail and met the love of his life, Diana Eide. They were married April 15, 2000 in Dickinson. Shad and Diana moved to Minneapolis, Minn. in 1998 and resided there until 2004 at which time they returned to North Dakota living in Fargo for three years. Finally making a home in Watford City and a career change to a transport driver in the oilfield.

Shad enjoyed spending time with his family, boating, hunting, camping. Shad began playing hockey at a young age and continued playing into adulthood. One of the great joys in his life was coaching his daughters hockey team.

Shad is lovingly remembered by his wife, Diana Wagner and two daughters, Skyy (12) and Savanna (9), and dog Tye of Watford City; mother, Janette (Bob) Schrum, Dickinson; sister, Chantel (David) Erickson, Excelsior, Minn.; sister, Erica (Kevin) Peck, Big Bend, Wisc.; brother, Joel (Leslie) Schrum, Dickinson; brother, Derek Campbell, Dickinson; sister, Ciara Schrum, Dickinson; father and mother-in-law, Kevin and Julie Eide, Williston; brother-in-law, Jeremy Eide, Williston; sister-in-law, Dena Vedaa, Williston; brother-in-law, Marshall Eide, Japan; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Reuben and Julan Ebel.
