Sharon A. Miller, 70, Dickinson, died Tuesday, October 7, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson, with her family at her side. Sharon’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Monday, October 13, 2014 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be on Sunday from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. with a rosary and vigil at 2 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Deacon Al Schwindt presiding.
Sharon A. Wendt was born July 1, 1944, at Moorhead, Minn., the daughter of Charles T. and Mildred M. (Bach) Wendt.
Sharon moved to Dickinson, and was united in marriage to Mike F. Miller, on June 1, 1964, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson. She has worked in housekeeping and food service throughout her life, most recently at the Ramada Grand Dakota Hotel and until her diagnosis of lung cancer.
She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, working in the garden, and the companionship of her puppy Padre. She was hardworking and fun loving.
Sharon is survived by her children, Michael (Tina) Miller, Karen (John) Lingafelter, and Jean (Patrick) Huschka, all of Dickinson; grandchildren, Amy-Jo (Justin Anderson) Huschka, Brittany Miller, Luis (Shannon) Urlacher, Jordan Urlacher, and Michael C. Miller; and one brother, David A. Wendt. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike on December 14, 1999; her parents; two brothers; five brothers-in-law; and three sisters-in-law.
