Sharon Kaye Hutton, 73, Dickinson, died on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. Sharon’s Celebration of Life Service will be 10 a.m., Monday, September 25, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Dawn Busch as officiant. Inurnment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.
Sharon Kaye Lundgren was born September 8, 1950 in Kenmare, the daughter of Elmond and Estelle (Wright) Lundgren. She was raised and educated in Mohall.
Sharon married George Roberts on October 12, 1968 and they had two sons, Scott and Shane. After their divorce, she attended the American Automation Training Center in Kansas City, Mo., where she completed courses in Data Processing Concepts. Following her return from school, she went on to work as a secretary at the school in Sherwood.
Sharon met Allan Hutton and they were married on May 25, 1979 in Glasgow, MT. Allan had three daughters from a previous marriage. They lived in Souris until 1980 and then moved to Belfield to work in the oilfield. In 2006, they moved to Richardton. Following Allan’s death in 2012, Sharon moved to Dickinson where she resided until her death.
She enjoyed painting ceramics, collecting bells and milk cows from all of her travels across the country.
Sharon is survived by her children, Scott (Dina) Roberts, Dickinson, Shane Roberts, Dickinson, Bonnie Odegaard, Spring Lake Park, MN, Connie Hutton, Breckenridge, MN, and Julie Buckman, Dickinson; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Allan; her parents; sister, Shelby Hutton; great-grandchild, Bailey Buckman.
