Shelby Hutton, 66, Belfield, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Shelby’s funeral service will be at 11 a.m., Monday, January 6, 2014 at the Belfield Lutheran Church, Belfield, with Rev. Roger Dieterle officiating. Interment will follow at the Belfield Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, and will continue on Monday at the church one hour prior to services.

Shelby Christine Lundgren was born October 4, 1947 at Kenmare, the daughter of Elmond and Estelle (Wright) Lundgren. She was raised and educated in Kenmare and Mohall, graduating from Mohall High School. She then attended beautician school in Minot, receiving her beautician’s license.

Her first marriage was to Carl Hastings, and to this union two children were born, Kristine and Craig, and her marriage to Gene Hutton a daughter, Patricia. She had moved to Glasgow, Mont., and attended H&R Block school, and then later to Billings, Mont., where she managed apartments for elderly people. Shelby made her home in Belfield 26 years ago.

She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary in Belfield. Shelby enjoyed doing ceramics, working in the garden, and spending time with her grandchildren. She helped at the Dickinson Trap Club, hosted Tastefully Simple parties, and helping her grandson with Boy Scouts.

Shelby is survived by her children, Kristine (Kevin Kuntz) Hastings, Belfield, Craig (Lynn) Hastings, Dickinson, and Patricia (Scott Iverson) Kuntz, Belfield; two grandsons, Aaron and Jordan Kuntz; her mother, Estelle Lundgren, Dickinson; her sister, Sharon Hutton and family, Dickinson. She was preceded in death by her father, Elmond, her brother-in-law, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
