Stan (Stanley) Paul Hanson, 52  Dickinson, died Sunday, January 20, 2013 at his home. Stan’s memorial service will be at 12 p.m., Monday, February 4, 2013 at Rosehill Memorial Park, Minot with Pastor Janet Mathistad officiating, inurnment will follow at Rosehill Memorial Park.

Stan was born April 22, 1960 at Minot to Hollis and Florence (Hoyt) Hanson. He attended Surrey, Makoti and Minot Public Schools until his graduation in 1980. He was baptized in Minot and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Minot. Stan also attended Quentin Burdick Job Corp for a period of time and studied numerous traits there to further his education.

Stan didn’t live an easy life for a while as he had gone through some major surgeries as a young child. One was an eye surgery as a result of Glaucoma, another was open heart surgery in Minneapolis. Stan spent much of his time in earlier years socializing with his friends at the Second Story Club in Minot.

Stan married Sandy Koffler of Dickinson. They continued to live in Dickinson, where together they had two wonderful children, Norman Antone and Andrea Jean Hanson. Stan worked for many years driving for Queen City Cab Company in Dickinson, and at the time of his passing he was employed by DJ’s Tesoro in Dickinson of which he had just reached his 6 year anniversary there. Stan will be greatly missed not only by his family but by the great people he worked for and with.

Stan is survived by one son, Norman and one daughter, Andrea both of Bismarck; four sisters Delores Walhood, Minot, Betty (Dave) Trierweiler, Brooklyn Park, Minn., Jane Crisante, Jacksonville, Fla., Essy (Esther) (Miles) Parizek, Minot; three brothers; Harold (Jill) Hanson, St. Cloud, Fla., Glenn Hanson, Minot, and Larry ( Lynette Deavers) Hanson, Minot; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Stan was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Ralph and one infant brother, David.
