Stanley A. Scrivner July 2, 1936 - October 20, 2015

Stanley A. Scrivner, 79, Hebron, formerly of California, died Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Stanley’s wishes were for cremation and that he be returned to California and buried with his wife, Dorothy at the East Lawn Elk Grove Memorial Park, Elk Grove, Calif.

Stanley Arthur Scrivner was born July 2, 1936 at Riverdale, Calif., the son of George and Mary (Todd) Scrivner. He was raised and educated in California where he had spent most of his life in Fairfield and Susun, Calif. He had served honorably in the United States Army.

Stanley married Dorothy LaDean Cullum on June 26, 1967 in Reno, Nev. They moved to southern California where he worked as a Brand Inspector, later moving to Elk Grove in 1970, where he continued as a Brand Inspector and also ranched. He moved to Bonanza, Ore., near Klamath Falls, Ore. in 1987, and eventually to Hebron where he also worked as a Brand Inspector prior to going to work for the city of Hebron, retiring in August of 2015.

He belonged to the American Quarter Horse Association. Enjoyed ranching, AceReid Comic Art, and watching football.

Stanley is survived by his son and two daughters, Todd Scrivner, Elk Grove, Stacey Scrivner, Hebron, and Teresa Maltby, Hebron; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; and two brothers, Herb (Penney) Scrivner, Keno, Ore., and Ken (Michelle) Scrivner, Albequerque, N.M.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy on September 3, 1985; his parents; step-dad, Lloyd Sanders; two sisters; and grandson, Chad Scrivner.
