Sylvia Jane Feller, youngest of three girls was born March 11, 1940 to Mike and Regina (Wanner) Feller on the family farm north of Richardton. At six months old she moved to the farm where she called home until 2024.

In 1946, she started school with one year in Taylor and the next eleven in Richardton. On school days she boarded with the Benedictine Sisters for seven years. She went on to live with her sisters in an apartment over the bank until she graduated from St. Mary’s High School in 1958. It was during her time with the Sisters that her love for music was developed.

She decided to continue the family tradition of farming and ranching along side her parents until the passing of her dad in 1981. At which point she took over with much pride keeping the ranch immaculate while caring for her mother until she was unable to do so, having to move her mother into the nursing home.

Sylvia loved horseback riding and was part of the Richardton Saddle Club. She was a ten year member of the Taylor square dance group “The Model T Squares.” She was very talented in music and could play a wide variety of instruments. In 1971, she began her 45 year commitment as the organist for St. Mary Church in Richardton. She played for 466 funerals, 260 weddings, 34 anniversaries, and numerous other occasions. She was part of the Friday Night Gang, playing for nursing homes and other events for 20 years.

She was very talented at making and decorating cakes. There was never a special occasion in the lives of her family where she didn’t come with a beautifully decorated and delicious cake.

The way she lived her life was an inspiration to us all. She was very generous with her time and talents. Always there for others like a true “Shepherd of the Lord”.

Syliva is survived by her two sisters, Corinne (Joseph) Friedt, and Arlene Myran; nephews, Arnie (Tammy) Friedt, Bernie Friedt, Roger Friedt, Greg (Mel Faulhaber) Myran, Owen (Vicky) Myran, Rory (Bethany) Myran, Kenny (Candy) Myran, and Keith (Carolyn) Myran; nieces, Joletta (Michael) Kern, Sue Lynn (Jeremy) Lysne, and Kathy (Kevin) Krank; 18 great-nieces and nephews; 16 great-great-nieces and nephews; and numerous cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother-in-law, Norman Myran; nephew, Kevin Myran; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
