Taylor Dutchak, 20, Dickinson, died Tuesday, February 11, 2014 at Missoula, Mont. Taylor’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as celebrant. Interment will take place in the spring. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Thursday at the church and will continue at 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service. There will be a rosary and vigil at the church at 7 p.m. Thursday.

Taylor Jordon Dutchak was born May 21, 1993 to Rick and Lana (Dorval) Dutchak. He attended Belfield Elementary until 2001 when the family moved to Dickinson. He graduated from DHS in May 2011 as an honor student.

He loved many sports but his passion was baseball. Even as a toddler he was rarely seen without a ball in his hand. His love for the game led him to become a coach. In 2012 Taylor became the head freshman coach for the Midgets. When he was too old to play for the Roughriders he became a Junior Legion coach. Taylor was always busy. He attended DSU full time where he was double majoring in Business Education and Business Administration. He was on the Dean’s list.

Taylor worked at Applebee’s as well as officiated high school football and basketball games. One of his goals was to teach at DHS and continue to coach the Midgets. Taylor was a natural teacher and coach. As a player he was an extra coach in the dugout and on the field. Many teammates came to Taylor for advice and tips. He always had a ready smile or a witty comment. Everyone who met Taylor instantly liked him. He had a way of making everyone feel important and welcome. Taylor was always mature for his age with a huge sense of responsibility. He did everything he could to take care of others and make sure their needs were met often putting others needs ahead of his own. He was also a lifelong Miami Dolphins fan.

Taylor is survived by his parents, Rick and Lana Dutchak; two brothers, Brady (Brianna Turcotte) and Dawson; grandparents, Louis and Georgette Dorval and Clem and Marilyn Dutchak; great-grandparents, Anna Binstock, Barbara Dorval, and Elizabeth Dutchak; uncles and aunts Jamie (Lacee) Dutchak, Nathan Dutchak, Jessica Dorval, Todd (Andrea) Dorval, Aaron (Brandi) Dorval; and numerous cousins including his Goddaughter Bella Dorval. He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Fritz Binstock, Wilfred Dorval, George and Cecilia Kuntz, and George Dutchak.
