Terrance “Terry” Symionow, 63, Dickinson, died Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson. A Parastas and Panakhyda for Terry will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, December 9, 2020 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Fr. Myroslav Dumych and Deacon Leonard Kordonowy presiding. Interment will follow at St. Thomas Cemetery, Gladstone. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Terrance Steve Symionow was born November 11, 1957 at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Dickinson, the son of Steve and Margaret Eleanor (Hlebechuk) Symionow. He was raised and educated in Dickinson having attended Dickinson High School and then NDSCS in Wahpeton.

Terry was united in marriage to Susan Olheiser on April 7, 1978 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. To this union three sons were born, Derrick, Tyler and Dustin. They lived in Gladstone for a period of time until making Dickinson their home. He had worked as a driller in the oil field, foreman for Fisher Industries, CDL driver for Missouri Basin, and eventually running his own trucking company, Symbro Services until his retirement in December 2019.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, spending time with his horses, and especially time spent at “The Land” northeast of Dickinson which was a gathering space for his boys and his grandsons where they would come and visit most everyday. He had a special love for all animals with his dogs, cat, birds and horses.

Terry is survived by his wife, Susan; three sons, Derrick (Chelsey), Dickinson, Tyler, Dickinson, and Dustin, Gladstone; grandsons, Tristin, Caymen, Mason and Julian; and his sisters, Debbie (Jerome) Haich, Gladstone, Sandy (Kevin) Booke, Gladstone, Tammy (Terry) Zastoupil, Dickinson, and Jody (Wade) Kadrmas, Dickinson. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, John and Mabel Hlebechuk, whom were very special to him; and brother-in-law, Tim Rodakowski.
