Terry L. Meidinger, 49, Dickinson, died peacefully at home with her family by her side on Tuesday, October 18, 2011. Terry’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, October 22, 2011 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Patrick Schumacher as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Wenceslaus Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a rosary & vigil at 7:30 p.m., with Deacon Bob Zent presiding.

Terry L. Heidt was born February 20, 1962 in Dickinson, the daughter of Christ and Mary Jean (Hanel) Heidt. She was raised and educated in Dickinson, attending grade school at St. Wenceslaus and Berg, Hagen Junior High, and Dickinson High School prior to attending the Job Corp in Nemo, S.D.

She worked at Job Service and Renner Photography prior to attending trade school at Josef’s School of Hair Design. Terry began working for Slic-Chic, where she met Brad. Terry and Brad were united in marriage on November 29, 1985 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson. She was an original partner in starting Hair Ovations, later selling her interest to Susie Bren, and continuing to work for her up until April 2009. She belonged to the hair dresser’s association.

Terry enjoyed driving to and from all destinations, telling stories, and spending time with friends and family. She was a wonderful mom, very caring and a good listener, and cherished time with her sons. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she always was there to lend a hand.

Terry’s memory will be cherished by her husband, Brad; her two sons, Mitchell Ross Meidinger, Portland, Ore. and Eric James Meidinger, Dickinson; her mother, Mary Jean Heidt, Dickinson; three siblings, Ken Heidt, Dickinson, Ron (Julie) Heidt, Dickinson, and DeeAnn Heidt, Jamestown; father and mother-in-law, James and Sharon Meidinger, Wishek; brother-in-law, Jeff (Stacy) Meidinger, Wishek; and her nieces and nephews, Jon Meidinger, Brittany (Andy) Anundson, Nathan Heidt, Audrey Heidt and Brandon Heidt. She was preceded in death by her father, Christ Heidt; and a nephew, TJ Meidinger.
