Theodora “Teddy” Sabrosky, 90, Dickinson, died Thursday, February 15, 2018 at Billings Clinic, Billings, Mont. Teddy’s Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Friday, February 23, 2018 at Ladbury Funeral Service with Rev. Cal Oraw officiating. Interment will follow at Dickinson Cemetery. There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends on Thursday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service.
Theodora Stroh was born on February 15, 1928 to Ambrose and Catherine (Hecker) Stroh, in Dickinson. Growing up Teddy attended Gladstone and Killdeer Schools. She taught at a country school for one year after graduation. Teddy loved to read and looked forward to getting her mail each and every day. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren when she could.
On June 8, 1948 she married Alvin Sabrosky. They made their home on the ranch west of Killdeer. They raised four children, Kirt, Delry, Sharon and Sarita.
In the fall of 1983, they moved off the ranch to a condo in Dickinson. Alvin passed away on December 14, 2000. Teddy continued to live in the condo until April 14, 2015 when she moved to Hilltop Home of Comfort Nursing Home in Killdeer. Then on October 31, 2015 she moved to The Highgate Senior Living in Billings, Mont.
Teddy is survived by her children, Kirt (Rorrie) Sabrosky, Guthrie, Okla., Delry (Cindy) Sabrosky, Dickinson, Sharon (John) Woods, St. George, Utah, Sarita (Shane) Stolt, Billings; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; Bob & Kamee Sabrosky (Macey & Samantha) Gladstone, Klayton Sabrosky (Maverick & Tyton), Rozet, Wyo., Travis & Cindy Sabrosky (Tyson & Carly) Taylor, Renata & Jeremy Ferguson (Natalia) Indio, Calif., Kyla & Bryant Stilwell, Box Elder, S.D., Charles Woods, St. George, Utah, Preston & Janae VanCleve (Joe, Jodie & Jodin) Billings, Tyrel & Sarah Woods (David) Everett, Wash., Jerimiah Stolt, Billings, Lori & Jeremey Hausauer (Zac & Savannah) Halliday, and Tina & Brad Reckamp, Omaha, Neb.; siblings, Irene Boe, St. Paul, Minn.; Leona Gunsch, Cooperstown; Tony (Leona) Stroh, Killdeer; sister-in-law, Kathleen Stroh, Killdeer, and numerous nieces and nephews. Theodora was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and two brothers, James “Cap” Stroh & Donald Stroh.
