Thomas N. Bauman, 66, and Darlene H. Bauman, 64, Dickinson, died Friday, April 2, 2010 at their home. Mass of Christian Burial for Darlene and Thomas will be at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, April 8, 2010 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with a Catholic Daughters rosary & Vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Visitation will continue on Thursday from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service.

Darlene H. Schmidt was born July 14, 1945 at Dickinson, the daughter of Anton and Marie (Weismann) Schmidt. She was raised and educated in Dickinson, having graduated from Dickinson High School. Darlene received her RN degree from Dickinson State University and for a period of time following worked in the nursing field.

Thomas N. Bauman was born January 2, 1944 in Williston, the son of Henry and Jane (Johnson) Bauman. He was raised and educated in Fairview, having graduated from Fairview High School. Thomas also attended Dickinson State University where he received a BS degree in Education and also taught for a period of time in elementary education.

Darlene and Thomas were united in marriage on November 24, 1967 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. The Bauman’s have made Dickinson their home since 1975.

Darlene and Thomas are survived by their two children, Cora (Michael) White, Glendive, Mont., and Allen (Dawn Rae) Bauman, Natchitoches, La.; Darlene’s sisters, Joanne (Henry) Timm, Billings, Mont., and MaryAnn Sawyer, Roanoke, Va.; Tom’s brother, John (Barbara) Bauman, Fairview, Mont.; and several nieces and nephews, Kathy (Dan O’Fallon) Timm, Paul (Cassandra) Timm, Jim (Mary) Timm, Tom (Susan) Sawyer, Lisa (Tom) Pendleton, Diane Shannon, Chris Painter and Jeanne (Todd) Saarinen. They were preceded in death by their parents. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to either Dickinson State University for the fields of Education or Nursing, or to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
