Tillie Frenzel, 87, Dickinson, died peacefully on Thursday, August 2, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Hospital & Health Center, Dickinson. Tillie’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Keith Streifel as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m.

Tillie was born on September 13, 1924 in Stark County to Frank and Mary (Buresh) Marsh. She was born and raised on a family farm northwest of Dickinson and attended school in New Hradec. Shortly after school she met the love of her life and was married to Ralph Frenzel on October 19, 1943 in New Hradec. They stayed on the Frenzel family farm south of Dickinson where they raised 11 children. Upon the death of her husband, Ralph on June 4, 1985 she then moved to Dickinson. Tillie was a Nurse’s Aide for 25 years at St. Joseph’s Hospital after which she was a volunteer for many years. She was a member of Catholic Daughters Association. Family was most important and she lived life to the fullest. She loved working a large garden, planting flowers, picnics, playing cards, and working on puzzles. Tillie loved to travel and looked forward to annual trips with her daughters.

Tillie is survived by three sons, Dennis (Sandy) Frenzel, New Hradec, David (Donna) Frenzel, New Hradec, and Don (special friend Lonnie) Frenzel, Cheyenne, Wyo.; six daughters, Judy (Edwin) Ficek, Dickinson, Jane (Ben) Howser, Tacoma, Wash., Linda (Gene) Keller, Dickinson, Ellen (Izzy) Mastel, Jamestown, Gayle (Myron) Kadrmas, Dickinson, and Debra (Val) Stockert, Dickinson; 30 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Marcella (Jerry) Larson, Harriet (Al) Kostelecky, and Jan Spear; five brothers, Steve Marsh, Bob (Jean) Marsh, Laudie (Marie) Marsh, Frank Marsh, and Edward Marsh; brother-in-law, Bob Hahn; and sister-in-law, Helen Marsh.

Tillie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph; two sons, Jim and Ralph, Jr.; two grandsons, Matt and Chase Frenzel; sisters and spouses, Betty (Elmer) Byers, Dolly Hahn, Emma (Charles) Ridl, and Mary (Dewey) Hurick; and brothers and spouses, Sylvan Marsh and Albert (Betty) Marsh.
