Titius Decker was born December 29, 1929 on the family farm in the Gaylord area, the son of John P. and Barbara (Fichter) Decker. He was raised and educated, having attended country school near the farm.

He was united in marriage to Marian Stockert on May 29, 1951 at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in the Kennedy community of Hettinger county. Ted and Marian farmed and ranched with his parents. In 1962 they purchased their own place. They lived in southwest stark county until 1996 when they moved to Belfield. While living in Belfield, he still continued to farm and raise cattle on the family farm. While farming, he also moved loose haystacks, worked as a mechanic, a butcher, and milked cows. He enjoyed checking the crops, combining and chopping corn. His greatest enjoyment came from being with his family. Ted was a kind, patient and hard working man.

He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church and St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. He belonged to the senior citizens club and the Belfield Knights of Columbus #6310.

Ted is survived by his wife, Marian; five children, Edward (Patricia) Decker, Dickinson, Roger (Rosie) Decker, Belfield, Carmelita “Carmie” (Bryan) Dukart, Dickinson, Donald Decker, Belfield and Ronald Decker, Belfield; grandchildren, Michelle (Brad Broome) Decker, Angie Decker, Janice (Brian Ackerman) Eslinger, Micheal Decker, Tanya Pomarleau (Mike Pomarleau), Tori (Lance Meyer) Mathern, Tyson (Cassie Rohde) Decker, Travis (Kelsey) Dukart and Jessica (Wyatt Synnes) Dukart; great-grandchildren, Austin (Diana Burke) Lauf, Ashley Broome, Amy Broome, Deklan Weidner, Sebastian Weidner, Tristan Weidner, Oona Eslinger, Jayden Pomarleau, Briahna Pomarleau and Avril Pomarleau; brother-in-law, Mike Hatzenbuhler; and his Stockert family.
