Tristan R. Williams, 30, Dickinson, died Friday, March 30, 2018 in Dickinson. There will be an Informal Gathering of Family and Friends, Wednesday, April 4, 2018 from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson
Tristan was born in Aurora, Ill. where he lived until his parents relocated to Calhoun, Ga. Tristan graduated from Shenandoah Valley Academy in 2006 and attended the Community College of the Air Force. Tristan was an incredibly intelligent man who proudly served in the United States Air Force prior to changing professions into the Bakken Oil Field. As an adult, Tristan moved to the great state of North Dakota where he would meet and marry his “True and only love of his life who he would love forever and always”. He is survived by his beloved wife Misti Williams and two dearly loved sons Tyson and Tegan Williams.
Tristan was kind to many but truly loved only a few which included his in-laws Mara and Lonny McDonald; sisters-in-law, Mandi Simenson and Morgyn McDonald; best friend Caleb Allen; his nieces, Jadyn Waer, Zoey Simenson, Matty Simenson, Caitlyn Williams, and Brooklynn Williams; his nephews, Mason Counts and Malaiki Williams; and sister Candice Fraizer. Tristan is also survived by his estranged parents, Mary Banks and Melvin Williams; step-father, Vincent Banks; and step siblings, Amanda Banks and Vincent Banks, Jr.; as well as many other relatives.
Tristan spent the majority of his life fighting an on-going battle with mental illness that would negatively impact the final years of his life. In his own words, “A man should never be too proud to ask for help when suffering from traumatic experiences and mental illnesses as so many do including me”. Tristan lost his life to his mental illness before he could follow through with some of his final words of wisdom, but wanted them shared to help assist others. Tristan will be loved forever and always.
