Twila A. (Renner) Burk, 68, Apple Valley, Minn., formerly of Dickinson, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Walker Methodist Health Center, Minneapolis, Minn., as a result from complications on Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Cremation has taken place at the Cremation Society of Minnesota. Per Twila’s request, no services will be held, however there will be a memorial gathering of family and friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., on Sunday, December 21, 2014 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. Burial will take place at a later date at Hampden.
Twila was born June 23, 1946, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle Johnson, Hampden. She graduated from Hampden High School in 1964. in 1967 she married Ron Renner and in 1970 their one and only child, a daughter, Tracy was born.
Twila worked for GTA Feeds/Cenex Harvest States for over 20 years in Dickinson and was very active in the Dickinson Women of Today. In 1998, she transferred to the corporate office of Cenex Harvest States, in the Twin Cities, and after 30 years, retired in 2006.
In 2006, she met and married David Burk, Apple Valley. They enjoyed traveling together and visiting friends and family with their two dogs.
Twila is survived by her husband, David Burk, Apple Valley; her daughter, Tracy (Richard) Jordan; Granddaughters, Hailey and BreAnna “Bree” Jordan, all of Dickinson; and two cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and an aunt.
