Victor E. Cymbaluk, 82, Belfield, died Monday, August 7, 2017 at his home with family at his side. Victor’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Friday, August 11, 2017 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Belfield with Fr. William Ruelle as the celebrant. Interment will follow at St. Bernard’s Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday. There will be a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., Thursday at the church.
Victor E. Cymbaluk was born April 12, 1935, son of William and Katherine (Kordonowy) Cymbaluk. He was raised and educated in the Belfield area, having attending country grade school and graduating from Belfield High School in 1954. Vic served honorably in the United States Army.
Victor was united in marriage to Charlotte L. Freyberger on October 14, 1968 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson. They lived north of Belfield where they raised their family and he farmed and ranched. During this time, he also drove truck for Daggett Trucking and was also part owner of Western Livestock in Dickinson.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, served on the Belfield school board and was also a brand inspector. He enjoyed working his cattle, swathing, telling stories and in his younger years riding horse. He loved the cowboy way of life. Vic enjoyed visiting and spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Vic is survived by three children, Samantha (Marty) Arnold, Williston, Scott (Anji) Cymbaluk, Belfield and Cindy Cymbaluk, Leonard; his twin sister, Victoria Ridl, Bowman; six grandchildren, Casey Arnold, Jessica Arnold, Ranie Cymbaluk, Bradie Cymbaluk, Kori Cymbaluk and Kelli Cymbaluk; two great-grandchildren, Evelyn Rose Arnold and Jaxon Robert Arnold; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife Charlotte on May 28, 2008; his parents, and sister, Betty Seerup.
