Vincent L. Hondl, 81, Dickinson, died Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. Vincent’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Todd Kreitinger as the celebrant. Entombment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, with a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., with Deacon Ron Keller presiding. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.

Vince was born October 18, 1936 in Dickinson, son of Frank and Mary (Simek) Hondl. He attended school in Dickinson and worked on the family farm.

Vince was united in marriage to Juli Nicklos on October 16, 1957 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson. He was married for 54 years to his dearly beloved wife Juli.

He belonged to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church and the St. Anthony Club. During his life he worked in construction and in 1976 he and Juli started their own company. They operated Hondl Landscaping Service until their retirement in 2006.

Vince enjoyed his family and spending time with his grandchildren boating and fishing out at Skunk Bay. He also enjoyed his daughter’s beautiful flower garden out there.

Vince is survived by his three children, Gene Hondl, Simone (Wayne) Olheiser and Shawn (Myria Walker) Hondl, all of Dickinson; two grandchildren, Tye and Megan Maus; his siblings, Albert (Effie) Hondl and Lillian Kuchenski, Dickinson; brother-in-law, Jerry Perdaems; and sister-in-law, Ann Hondl.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juli, on February 14, 2012; his parents; two brothers, Laudie and Frank Hondl; five sisters, Mary Vetter, Milly Perdaems, Frances Freidt, Pat Stewart and Elsie Hibl; and one infant sister.
