William S. Jearmchuk, 76, formerly of Dickinson, died Friday, January 11, 2013 at the Sheyenne Care Center, Valley City. William Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, South Heart, with Fr. William Ruelle as the celebrant. Inurnment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
William S. Jearmchuk was born April 21, 1936 the son of Frank and Polly (Kasian) Jearmchuk. He grew up on the family farm and attended school in South Heart, graduating from South Heart High School. He was an exchange student to London, England prior to joining the army. Bill served honorably in the United States Army from September 4, 1959 to October 27, 1959.
William is survived by his sisters, Justine Bauer, Effie (Al) Hondl, Dickinson, Dorothy Gerhardt, California, and Jane Fitterer, Mandan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; three infant siblings; three brothers-in-law, Robert Fitterer, Sr., Mike Bauer, and Anton Gerhardt; and one nephew and niece.
