Brent Arthur Moe went to his heavenly home on Friday, November 3, 2023. He will be so deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Brent’s Celebration of Life Service will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, November 11, 2023 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Pastor Mike Olson officiating. Inurnment will take place at Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Brent was born to Arthur “Art” and Victoria “Vicky” (Schiele) Moe on September 23, 1972 in Williston. Brent was raised in and graduated from Tioga in 1991.
Brent was known to be a very hard worker. He spent many of his younger years working for Moe Well Service, and various other oil companies. Most recently, he worked for Gohrick Farms, TMI Corporation, and Prairie Hills Mall.
Brent had many loves in life and his close relationship with his best friend and “little sis”, “Sheri Lynn,” was one of them. They were a team and took care of each other.
Brent had a passion for all things “outdoors”. Hunting and fishing were the things he enjoyed most in life. He was lucky enough to go on many hunting and fishing excursions with his lifelong friend, Justin Shafer, including some dream trips to the ocean where he caught various fish like Barracuda, Shark, and Blue Marlin. They also found themselves in the mountains of Montana stranded in a snowstorm after a successful bear hunt. The bears fur saved their lives that night and kept them from freezing.
Brent’s last few years were the best years of his life. He spent countless hours with family and friends either fishing the waters of Lake Tschida and White Earth Bay; or ice fishing in their Ice Castle. He tried to show us all how real fishermen do it, only to find out that his little sis was the real fisherman in the family.
“Bentley” was a common nickname used for Brent. Wherever he went, laughter seemed to follow. He constantly kept his family and friends entertained with his, at-times, gullible comments, questions, and goofy personality.
Everything Brent loved, he loved with his whole heart. He cherished his family and would always say “Family Is Forever.” His love ran so deep that he even went to the extent of making a key chain out of a lock of his niece, Shantell’s hair.
Life was not always good to Brent, and he had his share of struggles through the years. Anyone who knew him loved him and cherished his kind and forgiving soul.
Brent was a son, brother, uncle, and above all else, a Friend to those in need. He was the kind of guy who only wanted to see the good in people. He will be remembered for his generous heart as well as his big smile.
Brent is survived by: “His Lil Sis,” Sheri Gohrick (Chris Foster); fiancée, Kelly Rankin (Hunter and Annika); nieces, Makenzie Winch (Kenny), Paige Gohrick (David Hoiby), and Shantell Carlson (Alex); great-nieces, Haley (great-great-nephew, Marcell and great-great-niece, Maleah), Emily and Jaylynn Winch; and stepdaughters, Cody Osborne and Britney Moe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Glen and Agnes Schiele, Elmer and Julia Moe; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Brent’s family would like to say a special thank you to everyone for their prayers and kindness during this difficult time.
This is not goodbye only till we see you again. We love you Brent!
