Carol Craft, 71, Hazen, formerly Dickinson, died Sunday, November 12, 2017 at Sakakawea Medical Center, Hazen. Carol’s Memorial Service will be 2 p.m., Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson with Rev. James Hessler officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services.
Carol Hegstad was born November 27, 1945, daughter of William and Eleanor Norene (Mousseau) Hegstad in Lake Mille Lacs near Brainerd, Minn. She was raised and educated in Minnesota. Carol was united in marriage to Jesse Craft and to this union three children were born.
She worked at Waldenbooks in Minnesota and as a librarian. In 1986, she moved to Bismarck and later to Dickinson. She made her final home in Hazen. Carol loved books, spending time at the lake and she enjoyed the companionship of her cats.
Carol is survived by her children, Thomas Craft, Dickinson, Theresa (Ernest) Moore, Hazen, and Charleen (Jeff) Ebenal, Bismarck; five grandchildren, Kathy Jo Young, Kimberly Mae Moore-Craft, Christy (Jeff) Doppler, James Moore and Valerie Ebenal; six great-grandchildren; and unofficially adopted son, Alan Zimmerman. She was preceded in death by her parents; and granddaughter, Heather (Moore) Nelson.
