Danny Herauf, 41, Dickinson, died Saturday, November 13, 2010 as the result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident. Danny’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, November 19, 2010 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Jim Braaten as the celebrant. Interment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan on Monday, November 22, 2010 at 9 a.m., CT, with Fr. George Dukart presiding. Visitation will be on Thursday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson. There will be rosary & vigil at 7:30 p.m., Thursday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Bob Stockert presiding.
Danny J. Herauf was born January 12, 1969 in Dickinson, the son of George and Florence (Dukart) Herauf. He was raised and educated in Dickinson, graduating from Dickinson High School in 1988.
Danny has spent his entire life in Dickinson working at various jobs throughout this time. He in the past had been involved in Special Olympics and truly enjoyed spending time with his family and hanging out with his friends. Danny was an avid supporter of the Tennessee Titans.
Danny is survived by his parents, George and Florence; four brothers, Jeff (Jacky) Herauf, Bismarck, Terry (Tammie) Herauf, Gillette, Wyo., Randy (Ellen) Herauf, Litchfield Park, Ariz., and Rick (Imee) Herauf, Nashville, Tenn.; his nieces and nephews, Cory, Nicole, Reese and Blake Staudinger, Navarre, Fla., Heidi (Nick) Hurley, Gillette, Wyo., Ashley (Kyle) Graves, Laramie, Wyo., Amanda Herauf, Gillette, Wyo., Eric Herauf, North Glenn, Colo., Samantha (Luke Nelson) Herauf, Bismarck, Chris (Tabitha) Herauf, Ft. Worth, Texas, Shawn Herauf, Killeen, Texas, and Chelsea Herauf, Nashville, Tenn.; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Danny was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Cecilia Herauf and John R. and Eva Mary Dukart.
