There will be a rosary & vigil at 7 p.m., Monday, at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Ron Wolberg presiding.

Dave was born on February 27, 1957, in Dickinson to David and Lena (Koffler) Sticka. He was raised in Schefield on the family farm.

He married the love of his life, soul mate, best friend, Virginia “Gin” Stockert on September 2, 1978 in Dickinson. They were blessed with two beautiful children April and Hope that meant the world to him. (Everyday he would ask if April and Hope were coming over for dinner or on weekends to visit). Then he was blessed again with a son-in-law Brad Coleman and a grandson on his way…We know our grandson will know all about his Papa Dave and feel his love with him always.

Dave was the happiest when he was with his wife and two daughters and son-in-law, as well as the two pooches that came into our lives Jasmine and Lola (Nola). He was so gifted, he would take junk and turn it into masterpieces. He loved anything with a motor, especially if he could ride/drive it. He would barely finish one project and he had another one either started or on the agenda. His latest pride and joy an old 1936 Ford truck, he was so happy no matter who came to the shop he would visit and show off his work in progress, which was suppose to be his retirement project, but he thought he needed to get it done yesterday!!! Any chance he had he would take one of his many Big Boy toys out for a spin….but loved to go motorcycle riding with his nephew Blaise, and brothers Dennis and Mike.

He will be missed dearly. Dave had a heart of gold and the ripple effect he had on people, will never be forgotten.

Dave is survived by his wife of 38 years, Gin Sticka; two daughters Hope Sticka and April (Brad) Coleman, and grandson on the way. Siblings, Judy (Larry) Fleckenstein, and Delores (Jerry) Jacobs, all of Bismarck, Kathie (Don) Bren, Jim (Donna Lien), Tom (Jessie), Mike (Karen) Sticka, all of Dickinson and Dennis Sticka of Richardton; several nieces and nephews, and his Stockert Family.

He is preceded in death by his father, David SR and mother Lena; mother-in-law, Angie Stockert; brothers-in-law, Valery and Gary Stockert; nieces, Jennifer (Homstad) Barrera and Sierra Sticka; nephew, Dean Fleckenstein; several aunts and uncles.
