Dean Allen Anton, 54 was born on April 19, 1967 in Dickinson to George and Hattie (Krehlik) Anton. He died on December 9, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Home in Mott. Dean’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Keith Streifel as celebrant. Dean will be entombed at the Dickinson Mausoleum with his brother, Galen. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

He grew up on the farm where later farmed and ranched with his parents. Dean was educated in the New England Public School and graduated from high school in 1986. Dean was baptized in St. Mary’s Catholic Church and received all of his sacraments there.

He helped Arnold Simon hauling bales and then he worked for Albertson’s and Walmart. Then he moved to Bismarck and found a job at the International Restaurant and Aetna and some others. On May 24, 2021 he was hit by a car and was in the hospital and he didn’t know if he had brothers or sisters. It was after this that he was moved him to the Good Samaritan Home in Mott.

Dean liked basketball, hunting, card games and Nintendo. When he was five years old, he was ready to play (Huskers DU) with his dad when he came home from the field.

Dean is survived by his mother, Hattie; six sisters, Elaine Anton, Lincoln, Beverly (Bill) Geiger, Bismarck, LaVonne Viola, New York, Jolene (Kevin) Quinn, Lincoln, Janice (Darrell) Hochhalter, Rapid City, SD, and Mary Jean Anton, Mandan; four brothers, Kenneth, Montgomery, Texas, Patrick, Fargo, Daniel (Joy), LaPorte, Texas, and Myron (Amy), Bismarck; and ten nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, George; brother, Galen; niece Meagan Anton; and nephew, Ryan Anton.
