Edwin “Eddy” L. Rambousek, 80, Dickinson, died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at CHI St. Alexius Dickinson, surrounded by his family. Edwin’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Thursday, December 29, 2016 at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church New Hradec, with Fr. William Ruelle as the celebrant. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church.

Edwin L. Rambousek was born November 13, 1936 to Frank and Frances (Ridl) Rambousek in Dickinson. He was raised and educated south of New Hradec. He worked on the family farm south of New Hradec with his parents raising cattle and farming. Eddy loved running his Massey Ferguson tractors, especially his 8050, he always said she had lots of power! He loved to tinker with many things and would always try to make things more sturdy then they were. Eddy was a very busy man and he always had to keep busy even if it was wrong or right.

Back in the early 60’s to late 70’s, he played in a band with his brother Rocky. The band was called “Rocky and His Happy Valley Gang”. Eddy played accordion, piano and drums. He especially loved every Saturday morning watching Classic tractor and Mecum Auction with his favorite nephew Gary. They would sit and talk about all the different tractors.

Eddy is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Frances; sisters, Mary, Emma, and Julia; brothers, Rocky and Jim; nephew, Gary Pavlicek, great-nephew, Chance Pavlicek; and great-niece, Melinda Pavlicek.
