Eugene A. Grundhauser, 87, Dickinson, died on Sunday, May 3, 2026 at Benedictine Living Community, Dickinson. Eugene’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Brandon Wolf as celebrant. Inurnment will take place at St. Elizabeth’s Cemetery, Lefor. Visitation will be one hour prior to the Mass at the church with a Rosary at 9:30 a.m.
Eugene A. Grundhauser was born May 26, 1938 in Glen Ullin, the son of Mike and Lena (Heidecker) Grundhauser. He attended school in Lefor through the tenth grade.
Eugene was a farmer and worked at various jobs. He enjoyed listening to old time music, watching baseball games, and traveling.
In 2019, he moved into Evergreen and later made his final home at the Benedictine Living Community.
Eugene is survived by his sisters, Grace (Lester) Schiltz, Washburn, and Dolores (Richard) Faller, Dickinson; sister-in-law, Bea Grundhauser, Lefor; and numerous nieces, and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John (Barb) Grundhauser, and Duane Grundhauser; and sister, Ann (Adam) Krauter.
