Ivan Sievers, 99, Taylor, died Tuesday, August 9, 2022 at St. Benedict’s Health Center, Dickinson. In accordance with the family wishes, no services will be held at this time.
Ivan Sievers was born July 26, 1923 in Taylor, the son of Albert and Emma (Muecke) Sievers. He was raised and educated in Taylor where he attended school through the eighth grade. He went on to attend high school at the Sheyenne River Academy at Harvey.
Ivan was united in marriage to Beryl Fisher on June 2, 1948 in Taylor. They made their home north of Taylor on the farm that he was born on. He farmed and lived here up to the time of his death. Ivan loved the challenge of fixing, repairing or fabricating old parts into new.
They were members of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and he was involved with the TCA.
Ivan is survived by his children, LuAnne (Gil) Goldsmith, Lincoln, Neb., and Dennis (Vernell) Sievers, Taylor; grandchildren, Nathan Sievers, Bryan (Kim) Goldsmith, and Melissa (Andy) Juilfs; great-grandchildren, Roy Goldsmith, Landon Juilfs, Harland Juilfs and Brooks Juilfs.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Beryl, on December 22, 2018; great-grandson, Wyatt Juilfs; and siblings, Elvin, Irene, Elfreda, and Bertha.
