Justine Bauer, 86, Dickinson, died Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at St. Benedict’s Health Center with family at her side. Justine’s Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m., Saturday, August 19, 2017 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson with Fr. Shannon Lucht as celebrant. Interment will follow at the Dickinson Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. There will be a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m. Friday at Ladbury Funeral Service with Deacon Kris Ringwall presiding.

Justine Jearmchuk was born November 21, 1930 in the Badlands of North Dakota in Billings County, daughter of Frank and Polly (Kasian) Jearmchuk. She was raised on the farm and received her education in a one room country school.

Justine was united in marriage to Mike Bauer September 12, 1955 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, South Heart. Together they farmed northwest of Dickinson until their retirement in the 1990’s. She continued to live on the farm until the time of her death. She enjoyed listening to old time music, especially polkas, playing cards, dancing, crocheting and putting puzzles together. She was happiest when spending time with her family.

Justine is survived by three children, Mary Jane (Ralph Jr.) Olheiser, Therese (Jeff) Dolechek and William (girlfriend, Wanda Weigum) Bauer, all of Dickinson; three sisters, Effie Hondl, Dickinson, Dorothy Gerhardt, California and Jane Fitterer, Mandan; eight grandchildren, Schaun (Lindsey) Olheiser, Travis (Lacy) Olheiser, Stacy (Osman) Munga, Trisha (fiancée Joshua Allocco) Olheiser, Stephanie Olheiser, Lisa Dolechek, Jessica (Keasaw) Vassell and Jason Weigum; and seven great-grandchildren, Dayton Olheiser, Audrey Olheiser, Ivy Olheiser, Brady Olheiser, Chloe Olheiser, Kanze Munga, and Benjamin Munga.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike, on July 17, 2004; daughter, Ann Marie Bauer; brother, William Jearmchuk; and grandson Justin Weigum.
