Larry W. Christe, 56, Belfield, died Saturday, November 13, 2010. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 17, 2010 beginning at 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. with the family present to greet guest from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
Larry was born May 19, 1954 to Willis and Mabel (Sheppard) Christe at Burlington, Iowa. Larry was raised in Mt. Union, Iowa and graduated from Mt. Union High School in 1973. After graduation Larry worked in Mt. Pleasant, Iowa as a factory laborer for XLM. In the early 1980’s Larry moved to Cooperstown and worked in the oilfield for several years. He later moved to Beach where he worked as an auto mechanic. For 20 years Larry was also employed, off and on, as a farm hand, a job he really enjoyed. Larry married Carol Wymore on April 25, 1992 at Mt. Pleasant.
Larry enjoyed all types of outdoor activities, hunting, fishing and watching dirt track racing. He was also an avid Vikings fan. Larry’s greatest enjoyment was time with his sons and granddaughter.
Larry is survived by his wife Carol; two sons, Khord, Laramie Wyo., and Coda, Belfield; one step-son, Brad Wymore; one sister, Mary Larson; three brothers, George (Mary), Paul (Pat), and Ron, and one granddaughter, Emilee Woodham.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, two sister, Phyllis and Betty and one brother-in-law, Reuben Larson.
