Visitation will be on Friday from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Ladbury Funeral Service with a rosary led by Gerry Grosulak at 6 p.m.
Marlin was born on October 13, 1960 to Elko and Martha (Malkowski) Namyniuk and was the youngest of their five children.
He grew up on the family farm and graduated from Belfield High School in 1978. He played basketball, football and was a track star for the Belfield Bantams. He played college football for DSC and studied Auto-Body Repair at BJC. He played in the Pool League for Grassy Butte.
Then the oilfield called, and he worked his way up, eventually starting MGN Oil Field Consulting Services, LLC. Marlin finally retired in 2013. He had a lot of oilfield brothers and friends that he still kept in touch with.
Marlin was married to Camille Driver and later divorced. Then he met Julie Todd of Frazer, MT in 1994. She was his Partner, his Best Friend, and the Love of his Life, and they were married on August 28, 1999. They lived on the family farm until purchasing their own farm northwest of Hebron, where they found many good neighbors and friends.
Marlin loved to joke and tease with family and friends. He was a loyal friend and a kind neighbor, always ready to help anyone in need. He was a brilliant chess player, a skilled mechanic, and enjoyed reading and learning new things. He liked to collect old vehicles and to drive around the countryside. He liked to give nicknames to different people, as many of you know.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elko; sister, Lori; father-in-law, Benny Todd, Sr.; mother-in-law, Ruth Todd; brothers-in-law, Pete Brown and Mitchell Todd.
He is survived by his wife, Julie; mother, Martha; brother, Lonny (Dawn) Namyniuk; sisters, Leona (Vance) Grishkowsky and Maureen Brown; brother-in-law, Benny (Karen) Todd; sister-in-law, Lisa Todd; nephews, Janssen (Kortnii) Namyniuk, Landyn, Tyler, and Floyd Ackerman; and nieces, Annie (Chad) Hanson, Billie (Josh) Anderson, Lovell Ackerman, Andri Grishkowsky, and Natalie Brown.
The family requests that no flowers be sent.
