Mary E. Wanner, Dickinson, died on Thursday, September 3, 2026 at St. Luke’s Home, Dickinson. Mary’s Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m., Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Dickinson, with Fr. Ryan Martire as the celebrant. Inurnment will follow at the Dickinson Mausoleum. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m., at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson and will continue at the church on Wednesday from 9a.m. to 10 a.m. There will be a rosary and vigil at 7 p.m., Tuesday at Ladbury Funeral Service, with Deacon Bob Nickola presiding.
Mary E. Kubas was born December 21, 1929 at New Hradec the daughter of Frank and Agnes (Hanel) Kubas. She was raised and educated in New Hradec.
She was united in marriage to Acquilinus “Linus” Wanner on April 6, 1948 at St. Pius Catholic Church, Schefield. She was a stay at home mother who raised two children, Elaine and Jim. She belonged to St. Pius Verein, and when she could enjoyed playing cards, doing crafts, sewing, and Bingo. She especially cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her children, Elaine (Dave) Axtman, Fairview, MT and Jim (Sue) Wanner, Williston; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and sister, Angie Swenson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Linus on August 25, 2019; and numerous siblings.
