Jennifer Watters, 38, Dickinson, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at her home. A Celebration of Life Service for Jennifer will be at 4:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Ladbury Funeral Service, Dickinson, with Rev. Lisa Lewton officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.

Jennifer Lynn Thompson was born December 15, 1987 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Gary and Jackie (Whitehead) Thompson. She was raised and educated in Idaho Falls where she graduated from Skyline High School in 2006. She lived in Vancouver, Wash. for a period of time.

Jennifer and Matthew Watters were united in marriage on July 31, 2008 in Idaho Falls. To this union they were blessed with two children, Kiera and Trystan. The family made their home in Dickinson since 2017. While in Dickinson they belonged to St. John Evan. Lutheran Church. She worked as a Home Health Aide, Thrift Store assistant, with her greatest joy and pride coming from being a stay at home mom.

Jen and her family enjoyed camping, fishing, riding 4-wheeler and side by side. She loved doing crafts for friends and family, dancing, playing games with friends, taking silly pictures with kids and nieces and nephews. Thunderstorms brought her enjoyment, as did listening to music, especially Garth Brooks, Shania Twain, Dierks Bently and Miranda Lambert.

Jennifer is survived her husband, Matthew; her daughter, Kiera Ashlynn Watters; siblings, Jacson (Andra) Wall, Idaho Falls, Donn (Amy) Wall, Idaho Falls, Stormy Thompson, Idaho Falls, Jamie Thompson, Sequim, Wash., David (Kim) Bissonnett, Twin Falls, Idaho, Kimberly Thompson, Colorado, and Kara Thompson, Colorado; father-in-law, James (Regina) Watters; in-laws, Alisha (Joey) Rodriguez, Brandy (Logan) Furniss, and Kristopher (Maria) Watters; numerous nieces and nephews; and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her son Trystan Elric December 29, 2025; mother, Jackie Whitehead-Welsh; father, Gary Thompson; sister, Annie Wall; nephew Lincoln Lambert; grandparents; mother-in-law, Debbie Watters; step-sister-in-law, Sarah Conduit; and several aunts and uncles.
