Myron Cleo Brinkman October 10, 1942 - August 4, 2021

Myron Cleo Brinkman, 78, Halliday, died due to complications from Mesothelioma on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at his home, surrounded by family.  There will be a graveside service for family members at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan with Military Honors provided by the Bismarck Community AMVETS.  Inurnment will take place at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Mandan.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, memorials may be given to St. Jude Hospital.

Myron Cleo Brinkman was born on October 10, 1942 in Richardton, the son of Granville and Tillie (Lorenz) Brinkman. The family moved to Washington where he graduated from Fife High School. He joined the United States Navy on October 7, 1960 and served honorably until October 7, 1963.

Myron was united in marriage to Lynda Mae Krenik on February 8, 1963 in Tacoma, Wash. and to this union three children were born, Myron Todd, Richard Leroy and Jennifer Renee.

He worked in construction throughout his life as a business owner and also having supervised other construction projects.

In his free time he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and family activities. Myron’s greatest achievement was his family. He was a man of Christian faith: he was patient, soft-hearted, a mentor, generous kind and funny.

Myron is survived by his companion, Paulette Schumacher, Halliday; children, Myron Todd (Tammy) Brinkman, Richard Leroy (Rhonda) Brinkman and Jennifer Renee Brinkman-Beckman; and grandchildren, Tieler, Tasha, Thomas, Bailey, Tanner and Victoria (Ally); great-grandchildren, Trey, Elsi, Bria, Lucas, Theodore and Harrison; siblings, Curt Brinkman, Carl Brinkman and Lynne Brinkman Wandrey; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lynda M. Brinkman (December 8, 2006); parents, Granville (August 7, 1983) and Tillie Brinkman (August 18, 2002); and sister, Lydia “Sissy” Brinkman Broyles (April 14, 1965).

Myron’s life can be summed up as Amazing, Gracious and Generous!
