Wayne A. Trinka, 73, formerly of Dickinson, died Thursday, October 29, 2012 in Mesa, Ariz, shortly after being diagnosed with cancer. Following a service in Tolleson, Ariz., Wayne will be laid to rest at the Dunn Center Cemetery, Dunn Center, on Wednesday, November 7, 2012 at 2 p.m.

Wayne Arnold Trinka was born in Dickinson on June 21, 1939 to Charles F. and Mildred (Jilek) Trinka. He grew up with brothers Leonard and Ronald on the family farm near Dickinson. During his teen summers, the family custom combined from Oklahoma to North Dakota.

Wayne married Linda Lee Beck of Billings, Mont. They lived in Auburn, Wash. And he owned a barber shop in Normandy Park, Wash. They moved to Phoenix, Ariz., and raised three daughters; Debra Lynne, Mary Ann, and Cynthia Jean. Wayne retired as a warehouseman from Western Electric/AT&T.

Wayne loved button accordion music, fishing, flying, and cowboy movies. He played accordion at the Hansa House Restaurant in Phoenix and was a member of the Fontana, Calif. Button Accordion Club. In recent years, Wayne shared his life with Rose Offerman and her children. Rose and Wayne enjoyed music and friends at the Pulaski polish American Club in Phoenix.

Wayne is survived by his brothers, Leonard Trinka, Phoenix, and Ronald (Suzy) Trinka, Buckeye, Ariz.; daughters, Debra (James) Kozar, Reno, Nev., Mary Ann (Geoffrey) Myers, Simpsonville, N.C., and Cynthia (Rocky) Shively, Peoria, Ariz.; grandchildren, Katherine, Jessica and Michaela Myers, and Rebecca and Benjamin Shively; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
